Welcome to Hotel Vildbjerg
The hotel is located in the small cozy town of Vildbjerg between Holstebro and Herning. The hotel has existed for 130 years and consists of 33 bright rooms all with private bath/toilet, TV, radio and free wireless internet. The hotel has a cozy inn and restaurant with a large glass facade facing the street. The restaurant emphasizes good Danish cuisine and has a varied a la carte menu.
Vildbjerg and surroundings
The city is best known for the Vildbjerg Cup - Denmark's best football tournament for youth teams. This week, visitors flock to the city and to our hotel. Vildbjerg is a good starting point with many experiences nearby, but the town itself is a lovely, small, quiet provincial town, surrounded by good nature, such as Vildbjerg Lund and Vildbjerg Søpark with space for walking and cycling. Trehøje Nature Park is also only 7 km from the hotel
Until 1962, lignite was mined in the Abildå Brunkulleje. By appointment, former lignite workers can be seen recreating the work of mining lignite. The exciting nature area is worth a hike and you can also enjoy your own food.
In Vildbjerg you can enjoy a walk in the city's green areas in the form of Vildbjerg Lund and Vildbjerg Søpark. From here, it is not far to the area's larger cities, such as Herning and Holstebro, which offer everything from culture, sports and a cozy market town atmosphere.
Trehøje Museum displays a large collection of locally collected workshop environments as well as a number of agricultural tools from when real horse power was used. Get a tour of Møltrup Optagelshjem - a housing offer where the residents, among other things, has animal husbandry, a slaughterhouse and a grocery store where local goods are sold.
